LigonierWEB Email Changes
Google Apps is Here.
LigonierWEB.com is pleased to announce that we have transitioned our mail and portal services to Google Apps. Google Apps will allow you to communicate over the Internet more effectively and will provide you with more web mail space.
Please note that only people with LigonierWEB.com email addresses have been moved to Google. This change will not impact any aspect of your Internet connection. Your email address WILL stay the same. If you change your email password, it will NOT change your dialup password.
Please note that there are several changes that should have been made by now that will allow your system to access mail via Google. We strongly encourage you to make these changes immediately or you will not receive new email. The changes are as follows:
Webmail
You can access your mail via Google on the web at http://webmail.ligonierweb.com. The old web mail is now gone. Your contacts that existed on the old mail server have already been transferred over to the Google Mail service. You can also simply use the webmail link at the top of every page of the LigonierWEB.com web site.
Password
Over the transistion, we sent several communications requesting you to change your password so it is at least eight characters. If your password was less than eight characters at the time the changeover ended, we added the word password to the end of your existing password. For example, if my password was john the password was changed to johnpassword. This is the password that you will need to enter in order to access your mail via Google. If you wish to change your password, you can so by going to the following page:

Mail Settings Changes - The Easy Way
With the extra storage space, it is no longer necessary for you to access all of your mail using an Email client (Outlook, Outlook Express, Apple Mail, Entourage, Thunderbird, etc). While this option is still available to you, you will need to change your email client settings in order to for your client to work with Google.
For Windows Outlook, Outlook Express, and Windows Mail (Vista) users, you can simply download and run a program to automatically change your settings (configuration client) at: http://www.ligonierweb.com/google/configclients.html.
For other email clients and for Macintosh users, you can find step by step instructions located at http://www.ligonierweb.com/google/configclients.html.

Access via your PDA or Mobile Phone
With Google mail for mobile, you can access your mail account from your mobile phone. Just enter http://webmail.ligonierweb.com in your phone's web browser to log into your account.
Features
By using the webmail interface provided by Google, you will have 6.5 GB of storage space. This is over 100 times the space than before.

Other Google Features
On top of a new mail service and portal, you now have a built in Chat program in web mail that allows you to instant message everyone in your address book. There are also links to the Google 'Calendar' or 'Documents' links in the upper left corner. You can gain direct access to those products without signing in again.
