Changing your Login to LigonierWEB

Once we have entered your information into our dial-up system, you will be able to dial in immediately. However, you will need to change 2 key pieces of information currently shown in your dialer window.

First, you will need to place your entire LigonierWEB address in the user window. You will need to set your user name as user@ligonierweb.com (replace user with your login username). We will enter you into our system with the same user name and password you had at Laurel Web, unless you request a different login. You can log in to our members area and change your password later.

Second, you will have to change the dial-up phone number to one of our numbers.

If your home phone number is a 238 number, please use one of the following numbers:
724-441-7204 724-441-0089 724-259-4028 These are local numbers for 238 prefixes.
If you are unsure if they are local calls for you, ask your phone company. Please do not use the 238 number shown below. That number is set up for the Stahlstown 593 area only!

If your home phone number is a 593 number, please use 724-238-3590. This is the only number that will be free to dial into for 593 customers.

Setting Up Your Account on XP
The following settings are for Windows XP. For other Windows products or Mac systems, please call our Tech Support line at 1-877-580-5901.

Creating your new LigonierWeb connection:

Click on the Start button on the toolbar.
Click on the Control Panel selection.
Double-click on the Network and Internet Connections icon.
Double-click on the Internet Options icon. If you can not find it click on Switch to Classic View.

Internet Properties:
On the Internet Properties screen, click on the "General" tab. In the section called "Home Page" enter the following address in place of whatever currently appears in the box: http://www.Ligonierweb.com

Click on the "Connections" tab.
Under the connection section, click on the "Setup" button. The Internet Connection Wizard will start.

Internet Connection Wizard:

Click on Connect to the Internet. Click "Next."
Click on Setup my connection manually. Click "Next"
Click on Connect using a dialup modem. Click "Next."
Type in Ligonierweb.com for a connection name. Click "Next."
Type in the local access phone number we gave you (see below). Click "Next"
Type your user name and password.
Username must consist of your new email address. Example: user@ligonierweb.com
The password is the same one you used for Laurel web.
Type the password in again at Confirm password. Click on "Next"
Uncheck Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection. If you wish to use this function, please consult your WinXP manual. In order to make your Internet connection easier at this time, please disable this feature. Click on "Next"
Completing the New Connection Wizard.
Click on Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop. Click on "Finish."
The Connect window should appear. Click on "Dial" to tell the computer to dialup to the internet.

Dial-up Numbers:
If you have a 238 Ligonier number, use either:
724-259-4028 724-441-0089 or 724-441-7204

If you have a Stahlstown-area 593 number, use:
724-238-3590

Any other exchanges, you our Access Number Page to find the correct number for you.

Set Up Outlook Express for Ligonierweb.com email:

At the computer desktop, double-click on the Outlook Express icon.
Click on "Tools"
Click on "Accounts"
Click on the "Mail" tab at the top of the window.
Click on "Add"
Click on "Mail"
Your Name.

Under Display name, enter your name (for example, John Doe).

Click on "Next"
Internet E-mail Address

E-mail address: userid@Ligonierweb.com (Please replace the word "userid" with the User ID you previously used at Laurelweb.)
Click on "Next"

E-mail Server Names

My incoming mail server: POP3
Incoming mail(POP3 or IMAP) server: pop.ligonierweb.com
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: smtp.ligonierweb.com
Click on "Next"

Internet Mail Logon.

POP account name: Please enter the User ID as shown above.
Password: Please enter the password provided to you on Account Information sheet from Ligonierweb.com.
Click on "Next"
Click on "Finish"

Connecting to the Internet:

Double click on ligonierweb short-cut or...
Double click on the Internet Explorer icon (the big blue E).

Disconnecting from the Internet:

Double click on the connection icon in your system tray The system tray is normally located in the lower right hand corner of your screen next to the time clock. The connection icon looks like two computers with green lights, wired together.
Click on "disconnect".
